Works strangely in Car Audio

Installed with no problems but had to make a special adapter for installation in a 1987 Ford F-150 which is not due to the stereo. I bought it because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a car radio for such an old car, but I wanted some tunes. The biggest complaint about the radio for me is the incredibly small control buttons and yet incredibly small letters next to/on the buttons for what they are used for - on the device itself. You could use a much smaller screen as the letters on it are so BIG and make the controls more readable in my opinion. But in the end it works well and it's much easier to control it with the remote control than the interface on the radio. Plays well in MP3 format. The speakers are minimally acceptable and deliver a "thin" sound. The bass is played well, but not very deep or strong, and the mids are a bit reverberant and hollow. The highs are pretty strong and I had to turn them down by 2 or 3 in the settings. The built-in equalizer presets are actually quite effective. Surprised by the lack of a clock on the display. I'd love to see how this unit sounds with better speakers, but I guess I'll wait for them to fail or I'll just get too tired of their very mediocre sound quality.

Pros
  • Autoradio Receiver
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
