Allows USB 3.0 speed charging and fast data transfer. In other words, it does exactly what it's supposed to do and isn't overpriced. It's lightweight but definitely durable. The only thing they could do to improve this product is add a longer micro USB cable so it can be plugged into a laptop and get more out of the way. Anyhow, the cable is only about 6 inches long, meaning the hub and any chords you plug into it are bunched and cluttered around the laptop. That's enough of a design flaw that I deducted a star from, especially since it would have cost them about $0.10 in material to avoid the issue. Still a good buy.
