I bought 2 of these to upgrade a pair of halogen floor lamps. By removing the halogen lamp holder and the associated safety cut-off, wiring the LED light is a breeze. In addition to the energy savings, not only does the 24W LED light emit almost as much light as a 500W halogen bulb, but I no longer have to worry about the safety risk that a halogen bulb poses. I had to turn off the dimmer switch on the bulbs, but that's not a big deal considering I like the amount of light an LED light puts out. I've been using these devices for over 5 months and haven't had any problems.
