Review on Woolite INSTAclean Stain Remover 1684 by Ethan Delaney

does not remove stain completely - other Woolite products outperform other products

We have used Woolite Carpet Pet Stain & Odor + Oxy to clean cat hair for many years. (Our cat is old and has some health issues and we need to feed her medicated wet food, but she is picky as hell and we need to change her tastes. Unfortunately, frequent food changes can upset her stomach.) We couldn't. Pet Stain & Odor + Oxy bottles so we tried several Woolite options and INSTAclean was my favorite. Stains were not fully eligible for INSTAclean while they are eligible for both Pet Stain & Odor + Oxy and Advanced Pet Stain & Odor Remover + Sanitize. I noticed that I didn't have the usual foaming with this product that I have with other Woolites I've tried. It's not bad and it's ok to clean anything on linoleum or very low-pile carpets, but it doesn't work as well on carpets as I was hoping. Rinsing was also a little tricky - I remove stains by removing excess product, spraying with a cleaner, leaving it on for 1-2 minutes and then using microfiber towels to remove the stain. I then rinse the spray bottle with clean waste and use a clean cloth to soak up the excess, then gently brush the carpet to help the pile stand up and dry faster. It was the only cleanser I've ever used that left the lint crunchy, and two extra rinses didn't help much. I'd recommend sticking with either Woolite Carpet Pet Stain & Odor + Oxy or Woolite's Advanced Stain & Odor Remover + Sanitizers if you can find them.

Pros
  • Eliminates stubborn pet odors and prevents re-staining
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
