Review on ECOGARD XA6149 Premium Engine Air Filter: Perfect Fit for Ford Focus & Escape Models 2012-2019 by Christopher Smith

I switched to Ecogard filters as Revain Motorcraft (1908) was out of stock and double the price from other suppliers was that high. So far I like it, the installation was very easy. Many people claim that this is the wrong filter and does not fit. You are wrong. This is a fairly simple process that took less than 5 minutes1. I believe it's 8mm to loosen the screws, 4.2 in total. Remove the old filter, pull it to the right and lift it up.3. There is a small tab at the end of the filter (see image). It will go straight down. There is a small guide slot where the end is inserted. This is where most people say it doesn't fit. You need to make sure the filter is in its slot, which may take a little effort to move to the left.4. Once per slot. You're almost done. Just put the cover on and tighten the screws. This was done on my 2015 Ford Focus with a 2.0 liter engine.
