Review on πŸ“‚ Sauder Edge Water Lateral File in Chalked Chestnut Finish: Organize with Style! by Emilie Clorina

Probably the best non-solid wood product you can get

I bought this Sauder Edge Water Lateral Side File for $205. That. Excellent finish and style. - Because it is not a real tree, it is a very heavy and durable item. It's fine if you *just* hang files in it, since nothing really sits underneath. However, I was hoping to keep my stationery in the top drawer and now I have to be careful not to overload it. If it wasn't for that I would have given 5 stars. - It took a long time to install. Much more than 3 hours. The trim around the pre-drilled hole for the handle has come off enough to expose the unfinished piece a bit. Luckily I had a wood marker that made it invisible, but that's something to worry about with non-natural wood finishes. I'm afraid if I ever scratch the surface on an obvious spot it will look very bad and irreparable. Overall I am satisfied with this item. But if I could do it all over again, I'd probably buy a solid wood cabinet like the Whittier Wood McKenzie Side File Cabinet, which I can order from my local furniture store (and online) for $600, especially if it's delivered in advance would. built-in. Installation tip: Plan enough time. Follow the instructions very carefully. The instructions are very good, but you must follow them very carefully and not ignore any part. Anytime something seemed wrong in the process, it was because I did something wrong.

Pros
  • Brilliantly finished
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
