This product looks beautiful at first sight. The setting is great when it works and once you set it up. The storm feature etc. loses interest and is really just meant to be shown to others. Fish HATE flashing lights and they quickly become annoying and repetitive. But here's the kicker. NOT WORKING AFTER 9 months to a year. I'm serious! I've read a lot about aquarium lighting! Please trust me and other negative reviews. Please note that most of the positive reviews are from NEW OWNERS ONLY. For people who, like me, have used it beyond the warranty period, we have no chance of the money we paid for it being worth anything. I've read comparisons between all other major brands and even cheaper versions. From Fluval, Hygger, Beamsworks, NiCrew, Current USA, Mingdak, Aquaneat, Aqueon and even other Finnex lights and other brands. I'd say Current USA, NiCrew, Fluval, and Hygger are your best bets. I read reviews on everything and not just Revain. I literally read every ecery article I could find that researched this very thing and wrote about the top recommended brands and why. The truth is I believed all the good reviews, dumb stars etc. I wish I had researched how long the light would last. So I'm telling you, PLEASE, PLEASE Spend THE EXTRA SOMETHING ON ANOTHER BRAND! AMAZON should allow this review because I'm trying my best not to be mad or mad about how I'm feeling and also because it's absolutely 100% true! I'm giving you, the reader of these reviews, a chance that I didn't take, and I urge you to take it. I really want my lesson to be useful to you, so maybe they were compensation for my huge financial loss. I would go with the Current USA brand or the Hygger versions if I wasn't buying those. They have very positive reviews. So the bulb versions are also to blame, presumably they at least seem to last longer, or you can swap the bulbs instead of the lights. I didn't go that route because it was more money. I figured I'd save money and get the best deal on all my reading. I've been reading for days. My husband even guaranteed this sin, he kept asking me if I had made a decision. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS on this product. I'm telling you, it's going to be nice. only for a very short time. You'll probably get maybe a year if you're lucky! I hope you have better luck and I wish you a great shopping experience at Revain. Buy from a verified buyer!
