I bought this light to grow plants in my 60 gallon. It's bright enough to provide moderate light up to 2 feet and I love the pre-programmed 24 hour cycle. This is the perfect light for a planted aquarium in low to medium light. medium light for already programmed plants. If you want to adjust and save this setting for medium light plants, you can do so by increasing the blue and red a few knots during low light times like 9am or 6pm and saving to the quick setting. or you can set any light color for any 3 hour period. This product looks beautiful at first sight. The setting is great when it works and once you set it up. The storm feature etc. loses interest and is really just meant to be shown to others.
