Avoid installing if possible
For several years I used these bulbs in a bathroom fitting until I discovered LED bulbs do exactly the same thing but without the heat. I used these bulbs for a glass fitting according to the manufacturers specs and it was a disaster. The cover glass cracked twice and the burn marks spoiled the fitting. Now I use LED which are just great.

- Durability/Longevity: Despite its initial appeal as a high-performance LED light bulb, the Bulbrite KX20CL/DC Double-Contact Bayonet Base (BA15D) Light Bulb is not as durable as one would expect. It may not last as long as other LED lights on the market, meaning that you have to continue purchasing and replacing it more often
