Fragile adjustment mechanism on a tough helmet

This helmet is nice because it's slim, light and comfortable for my kid. But the red dial, which serves as a protractor, broke after a few weeks of wearing and we can't fix it. As a result, the helmet is not properly tightened and is unusable. I'm trying to contact the company to get a new piece.
