Review on IDealBed IEscape Adjustable Bed Base With Wall Hugger, Wireless Massage, Zero-Gravity, Anti-Snore, Night Light, Memory, Next-Gen USB Ports - Queen Size In Grey by Douglas First

It works! But it's noisy and the remote is horrible. ZeroG a bit too steep.

Firstly, it works. It's an adjustable bed - things go up, they go down. There are separate adjustments for legs, head, and a bonus adjustment for "pillow", a small articulating adjustment right at the tip of the head. I don't care for it, but I suppose it will have some value for others. The bed was super easy to put together - I should have measured the legs a bit better because now it's a tad too tall and I'll have to flip it to adjust the legs again (or like use a car jack or something) -- that's on me, not the company. There are oodles of height adjustment options so no worries there. The adjusting pin is a bit weird (a nub attached to a folded piece of metal) that seems to me a bit flimsy but I'm not a bed designing engineer so I've got to think it will hold.Okay, the minuses - The remote. Who thinks to make a flat, buttonless, touch-screen-like interface for a remote that you most likely need to use in the dark!? You run a big risk of activating some part of the bed just trying to find a button. Really, this is a big miss on iDealBed's part -- they need to offer a buttoned remote that you can kinda feel in the dark before you press your intended feature. - Zero-G is supposed to be some sort of ideal sleeping balance of raised foot and head. Not for my body frame however - had trouble sleeping and woke up with a sore back. Every body will be different; I need a much less "steep" head setting to be comfortable. - It makes a lot of noise during adjustment. True, I have the bed on a title floor so that might contribute somewhat to the noise, but you literally hear the motor whine up to speed and then activate. It's much less than ideal but how often are you adjusting the bed and need total quiet? - Massage feature is just 'meh. More of a slight rumbling than a massage. Unlikely to use too much.Work in progress. A few minuses but overall, seems very sturdy/solid, fits inside the frame of my Queen-sized sleigh bed, and adjusts. Happy and I put it as reasonable value.

Pros
  • The wireless massage system provides relaxation and relieves stress after a long day, ensuring you wake up refreshed and energetic
Cons
  • The massage function may be too weak or not targeted enough
