I have chosen one of my capture cards; For some reason, capture cards typically use USB-A connectors to connect to a PC. I connected both ends and extended my capture card another 4 feet or so. Worked fine; works for months without problems. These little adapters have other uses from time to time, but they're pretty specialized considering how few USB-A to USB-A cables exist. Picked this up to extend the USB cable for an additional computer. Worked fine (required a male to male cable) to give me a port that was 1:1 on my desk (couldn't go through a hub). It would be easier to use if it was between a man and a woman. Most male to male cables are for capture cards and this is one of the things I have tested these adapters with. One is now installed on my desk and the other in my desk drawer in case I need to extend the line from my main capture board to a source outside of my desk. Pretty good aluminum unlike the old plastic I had that was falling apart. I've been using it for several months with no problems.
