I have both this and one of the "Origami" cases. The origami case doubles the weight of the tablet and it is much lighter. It looks like it will offer good overall protection, although honestly none of these standard (unprotected) cases will prevent your tablet from falling onto concrete. I prefer this case to the origami case for general use - you can adjust the screen to almost any angle for easy viewing, while the origami case is at a fixed angle. This doesn't work if you want your tablet to be in portrait mode. The plastic clamshell holds the tablet securely, the protrusions above the power and volume buttons are perfect, the holes for speakers, USB and microphones are perfect. The appearance is pleasant, but in a dirty environment, it collects dust and is easy to brush off. I've only been using it for a few weeks, so I can't comment on durability.
