Great Bargain - Full Shelves

Really impressive product for the price. I'm having a hard time finding the benefits of my three CF Gitzos over this one. In terms of quality, it is in no way inferior to Gtizo and RRS. The Gitzo has a slight advantage in torsional stiffness for the same leg diameter, but it's not much. This tripod sits between my 3 Series Gitzo System and my 1 Series Climber as a heavy duty travel tripod. The only thing that bothers me about these legs is the weight of the tripod legs. Of 1400 grams, 126 grams are feet. Of course they are strong and contain a lot of steel, but the weight advantage of Cf over aluminum is lost. Please offer simple light legs. The head of the LH-40 is beautifully crafted, perhaps a little too much of a simulcast of the RRS design. It's a bit of a hassle to get used to the ball - the friction-giving plastic wears out well, so the friction becomes much smoother, almost too smooth, over time. Can be used with moderate teles (weight wise), but super teles or 8x10 monorails require something more powerful. I would say a 70-200/2.8 or 300/4 DSLR will do. My D810 with 200-500 cuts, better use a buddy for that. (Here I am referring to my Burzynski ball head, which pretty much messes up everything else on the market.)
