I have a few of these special brands and a few other more expensive ones. They are designed to fail, whether you pay the bargain price or go for the more expensive option, the seemingly standard use of this low strength plastic wire will make them fail every time. (to me); you sit comfortably on it. I return to them because of the price. You can be lucky and they last a few years, or you can replace them after a few weeks, days, or a month. It's best to avoid stuffing things in your back pockets or leaving things on the seats that could catch on the rope and cause tension. You'll have to get creative to install this on seats without removable headrests, but it's doable. I haven't found any more expensive ones that last longer or are of much higher quality to justify the price. Are they worth buying? They're like a dollar scratch card, cheap enough to take a flyer and hey, you might get lucky and last a year or more. And if not, they're cheap enough to buy another flyer at another time after you've stopped being mad that they're broken.
