Comfortable, but. for sport

Very comfortable but installation was terrible as hell. Let me put that into perspective. I used to drive a lot and had a very nicely padded seat. Two kids and a lifelong love of old-fashioned donuts later. Well, the baby's butt got bigger. So I decided to jump in the saddle with a nicer (and bigger) seat. It was definitely the right choice. It's wider than my old seat and comfortable enough, but I almost returned it before using it for the installation. Bike seats need to be installed and removed in five minutes or less, and once the adapter is installed, that holds true. However, the adapter was not pre-installed. WHY the fuck #@##$#! No? In fact, removing the adapter from the seat is MUCH easier than attaching it. Thirty minutes later, and after the air had turned neon blue around me, my dear husband decided he had heard enough and went downstairs to explain what I was doing wrong. Fifteen minutes later, while he was about to put cement shoes on this seat and ship it to his forever home at the bottom of the local lake, he got the idea of using my old adapter from my old seat instead. Wow, within five minutes he installed it on my bike. Suffice it to say I was very upset about the whole installation issue and as I took him for a walk (on the lake) I figured it must be like riding on a cloud or he would become a permanent resident of the lake. (No, I would never pollute the environment, but it was easier for me to threaten inanimate beings than to admit that I had just made a bad choice.) So five miles around the lake and it wasn't bad. It didn't float in the cloud, but it did go another five miles. Ten miles and yes I could tell the difference from my old seat. Most importantly, the galley did not cry out in pain. This was also confirmed when I drove fifteen miles later that week. So is it convenient? Yes, definitely worth buying. I will say that if you ride in the cold (i.e. don't ride at all and expect this seat to be wonderfully comfortable) you'll probably be disappointed. I don't think any place is that wonderful. But after three weeks of spinning, this seat has become a very comfortable transition to outdoor cycling. Five stars for convenience, three stars for installation (and that I used a different adapter). Solid four stars.
