Be sure to buy a belt that is larger than the size of the pants. I've recently lost some weight and have a new Levis 505 which is a size 36. Based on other reviews I've read about this belt I bought a size 40 which is in the 2nd hole from the start so I have 4 more holes , since I'm losing more weight. As many of you probably know, belt sizes vary a lot between manufacturers so I think it's safe to buy 2 sizes up from your Boston waist size. The belt feels very durable and the width is perfect for my jeans. We just have to see if it stretches. My final harnesses were Safariland Bianchi service harnesses, a size 40 for my size 38 pants, and they were in their final hole. Those were great belts but I couldn't find them again at Revain so it looks like I've switched to Boston now.
