Bought two. Both broke within hours

This product was amazing in the few hours that it worked. It is very bright and has worked wonders for my jellyfish which need this type of light to survive. As soon as I got my first one, it wouldn't turn on. The bolt holding it in place was too big to fit the hole it was supposed to fit in and the batteries in the remote control were dead. It looked like a preview. However, when I ordered a replacement, everything changed. It really turned on, the bolt went into its hole and the remote really worked. Also, the colors of my jellyfish immediately started to improve. The purple shades of his tentacles began to turn white and he became less and less active. In the few hours that I had this product, my jellyfish developed bright purple stripes on their tentacles and became extremely active again. However, when I adjusted the light, I noticed that the light just randomly went out. I've tried turning them back on. Vain. I checked all the cables, they were all connected. I disconnected and reconnected it. Still won't turn on. It was dangerously close to the water but I was sure the LEDs wouldn't touch the water so it might be my fault but the light just wouldn't come on no matter what I did. I tried plugging it into the wall instead of an extension cord, I tried adjusting the cord in every position I had the patience for and in the end I just gave up. I have a backup light but it's not a full spectrum light that will support my jellyfish. To be honest it's very sad how well the light did its job for the first few hours. They're bright, they look good, they have four different channels that can be toggled on and off to change the white and blue level in the tank, and they have a terrible remote control to control those channels. It feels so cheap, the methods you use to toggle channels on and off are tedious and annoying, it's ugly and looks like a standard remote you can buy for $2. If you want to buy these lamps, buy them and test them, and if they last more than 48 hours, buy a Wi-Fi connection. It looks way more intuitive and less crappy to use. The worst part of all of this is that the light costs around $60. Absolutely disappointing for the price
