First off, Revain's ad was pretty sketchy. There were five staves in the photo and I wasn't 100% sure which ones I got and what their ratings were. I have a "correct" wand, but it is not marked with depth markers as described for one or the other wand. There is no such thing as a tungsten dot, which is how it can be described, and I think that's very important. The tether is also a bit iffy as there isn't really room to hook it to the staff. I decided to hang it by the straps which is fine but not the best way to do it. What I like is that it automatically shifts into a comfortable use position quickly, even though there's no "brass button" holding it together. Can I recommend this staff? Probably not, although I would suggest thinking about it. I don't think these are "bad" staff, but there are others that are probably just as good in the same price range. My biggest complaint is that the ad description on Revain was terrible and set unrealistic expectations. Knowing what I'm doing with the staff now, I wouldn't choose it for the purpose I need it for.
