Review on INXON Wooden Computer Speakers: Bluetooth 5.0 Sound Bar for Desktop/Laptop/Smartphone - Mini Soundbar, USB Powered, Stereo Bass, Music Console, Aux 3.5mm (A30) by Paul Williams

Good basic aesthetics but poor speaker/soundbar quality.

I knew it was a risky purchase as there was only one review but I bought it because it was in the Prime Day Sale. I have to say I'm disappointed. I'm giving the product an extra star simply because it looks classy and uses USB-C, which is surprisingly rare for today's products. Also, it suffers from the same problem as most cheap speakers. Pros: - Simple, aesthetic - Large and easily accessible volume control - USB-CC Cons: - Nearly non-existent bass (which you shouldn't look for in cheap speakers and soundbars, but the product page says 'clean bass') - tinny sound - High-pitched, static audio when charging via desktop USB, less noticeable when charging via a wall outlet, but still audible if you turn the volume up more than half - Audio cuts out randomly when playing music or games. The latter is probably one of my biggest issues with these speakers. There's a built-in "sleep mode" that kicks in automatically if the speakers don't detect any sound, which I think is meant to save battery. Unfortunately, cheap speakers like this will constantly and erroneously switch to this sleep mode when a quieter part of a song is playing or when a video game pauses. As soon as a song or video game gets louder, the speaker will attempt to wake up, often for a second or two (sometimes longer) before the audio resumes. You end up with a speaker like this where every other song cuts out and cuts out, or you miss out on the required audio outputs in games, which is a terrible mistake and experience. I personally like the aesthetics of the soundbars, but should have known better than trading sound and product quality for looks. Learn from my experience, buy trusted products, or at least products with a lot of reviews, or avoid soundbars and buy real desktop speakers.
