Review on 🎢 Portable Mini Suitcase Turntable for 7 Inch Vinyl Record - Belt-Drive 2-Speed Player with Built-in Stereo Speaker (Black) by Tara Greene

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Funny toy but poor sound quality

I was expecting poor sound quality from the tiny built in speaker (which is only mono, not stereo as the manufacturer claims) but my unit also has a lot of jitter which trills caused when playing music. Unfortunately, the headphone jack is also mono-only and connecting external speakers improves the sound, but the sound is still metallic and the large speakers hum heavily from the motor. And if you don't want to play 3-inch records, the spindle adapter needed to play standard-size center-hole records is cumbersome and easy to lose. But it's not all bad: the tonearm is properly aligned and weighted for the cartridge used (which, despite the manufacturer's claims, is unlikely to have been made in Japan) and comes with a quality sapphire needle that won't damage Styrene 45 unlike a 7 " MPK Turntable. with slot. pulled out a box of old 45s and despite the poor sound quality had great fun playing them on this tiny cheap toy. The tiny built in speaker makes it sound like you are playing songs on a small transistor Listen to AM radio when the music was new Give your child this player and a stack of 45s and let them enjoy it without fear of ruining your prized vinyl records because they won't even fit!
