Review on Set Of 6 Solid Steel Floating Shelf Brackets With Screws, Wall Plugs, And Level - Hidden Supports For Wooden Floating Shelves - Ideal For DIY Home Decor Projects by Kachilla Mountain

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worked fine but not perfect.

These worked well for my project, with a few caveats. On some (but not all) of the brackets, the back side had subtle lumps where the post was welded on - which may not seem like a big deal, but they have to be installed PERFECTLY flat against the wall, which these bumps prevent. (A bracket being asymmetrically pushed out from the wall even slightly causes the post to no longer be perpendicular to the wall, which causes problems with installing, leveling, etc.)Also, as one could probably guess, the supplied anchors are TOTALLY useless. You absolutely must attach to at least one stud per shelf, and then use some real anchors such as metal "molly" anchors or mushroom/spring toggle bolts.Note, you will need an 8 inch long, 1/2 inch drill bit, and a drill block/guide to ensure your holes go straight into the shelves (unless you have a drill press, of course). Walmart has small drill blocks for under $10, which was what I used.

Pros
  • Sleek and Minimalist Design - The Solid Steel Floating Shelf Brackets lend a modern and minimalistic touch to any home decor, making them the ideal choice for those who prefer clean lines and streamlined aesthetics
Cons
  • The installation process is complicated and time-consuming, requiring a high level of DIY skill which may be daunting for some
