Review on 🔒 Purolator PL14006 PurolatorONE Advanced Engine Protection Oil Filter with Spin-On Design by Jeremy Hudson

I bought this oil filter along with another one for an upcoming oil change for two of my cars. I checked them out when I first got them a few weeks ago and they looked fine at first glance. Yesterday I decided to change the oil which resulted in having to use this filter. Raised the car on the ramp, drained the oil, then removed the used oil filter. I'm pretty picky and I usually put new oil in the new filter so the oil pressure in the engine doesn't lag when I start it after topping up. I went to fill this new filter and at that moment it looked like there was an "oil film" on the top of the filter cap as well as some oil on the threads. The filter didn't look "used" but it definitely looked like it was put on the engine and then removed for some reason. I felt a little uncomfortable using it, but at this point I more or less had to. Perhaps the Revain supplier needs to be a little more considerate of the products they sell. And in the future I'll probably be tempted to take the time to go to a local store and buy my filters where I can inspect them before finalizing my purchase.
