Tube fittings are doomed
Bought these just 2 years ago hoping they would help eliminate water hammer in our front loading washing machine. At first they worked, but today, after cleaning the basement, I can say that the design has flaws: the weakness is that the braided metal hose is interrupted by a plastic part that simply cannot withstand the pressure of water hammer, and this is the part that fails - on both hoses! The concept of these hoses is great; However, for them to work, they must be made of metal tubing and brass fittings, not plastic, to stand for a reasonable amount of time.
