Review on πŸ’‘ Enhanced Belkin 6-Outlet Wall Mount Surge Protector with Dual USB Ports: Efficient 1 AMP / 5 Watt Charging by Terry West

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great and modern outlet protector

I have used wall outlets (including other Belkin products) for many years. This device is pretty good and I was excited to find out that it comes with a USB charger. I no longer care about phone or fax lines. It would be nice to have coax or network cable protection, but perhaps higher Joule ratings are required at this point. ADVANTAGES: - Lights up to indicate if it is grounded AND if the surge protection is still active. Most outlets have a bottom light, but not all have a safety light (although they protect against surges). - Easy to stick in the wall. If you don't like the middle screw or don't want to replace the bushing, just unscrew it. Beautiful white color. Other devices I've bought have a crisp white or Manila look, which isn't very appealing. Well rounded edges. No sharp corners like other devices. Lots of connection options for devices with 6 sockets and 2 USB slots. CONS: Sockets are turned sideways, which isn't very practical for heavier adapters or plugs hanging in the socket. Normal plugs fit. Unless you're using screws and anchors in heavier adapters, this product sticks out of the wall quite a bit (and that compares to other products that hold up pretty well). Push it back a little and you'll be fine. I don't need any other outlets right now, but I may buy one of these products again because I'm so impressed. I always find a place and combine other forks!
