Review on ๐Ÿ’ก AGOTD White Halogen Replacement Bulbs - 6 Pack by Sean Ceo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beautiful white color 3000K. No flickering or buzzing. Goes well with my Puck lights.

tl;dr version: Our under kitchen cabinet washers work great. No flickering or buzzing. Suitable for washers for halogen. Much colder than halogen. Nice color temperature. In our kitchen we have lights under the cabinet that originally had G4 two-pin halogen bulbs. I tried three different types of LED bulbs in pucks as replacements for bright but hot halogens. Replacing the bulb with a disc shape gives the most light as they only have LEDs on one side of the disc so all the light falls on the counter. The problem I've had with disc style bulbs is that they don't work well - one brand buzzed and flickered and the other didn't fit well so I had to constantly remove the covers and wiggle the bulb. . With that in mind, I was pleasantly surprised to have had better luck with these more traditionally shaped LED bulbs. They fit perfectly in my Puck lights, which originally have two-pin halogen bulbs. They don't hum or flicker. The 2W lightbulbs provide plenty of light in the under-cabinet washing machines, located next to the kitchen counter. But for over stove lights that are about 40 inches above the surface, I think I'll swap out the bulbs to 4 watts. There's a bit more light around the fixtures as the bulbs throw 360 degree light, but you'll only notice this if you poke your head under the cabinets, so who cares, huh? Pleasant white color temperature, accurately represented around 3000K. The price is good, about two dollars per bulb at the time of writing this review. There was a concern when I first installed it. I plugged it in, flipped the switch and...nothing. The light didn't come on. But when I pulled them out a bit they turned on and have been without any problems ever since. So if the bulbs don't light up after you put them in, try pushing them out of the pins a little, about a millimeter or so. I don't know why inserting the two removed ones should be a problem, but it was. Bottom line: I thought ceramic disc LEDs would be a better replacement for halogen in puck lights, but these more conventionally shaped LEDs actually work better with no flickering or buzzing.
