It's hard to find a good bike rack at a reasonable price. I dared and surprisingly it perfectly meets all the requirements. It is constructed of heavy-gauge steel with an all-metal hitch mount that includes a stabilizing plate to eliminate any wobble that may occur at the hitch attachment point. While the instructions leave a lot to be desired, if you can tolerate their brevity, it's certainly not a deal breaker. This is a surprisingly very good bike rack that performs great on par with some that cost twice as much with the addition of 4 strategically placed pucks. I added these parts because I'm a bit of a build freak. You don't need extra washers to make it fully usable. i only have one bike The bar extends a maximum of 22 inches from the truck hitch to the vertical support beam, allowing the hatches of SUVs to be opened. I found no noticeable handlebar flex carrying my 45-pound e-bike. As a bonus, the bike racks fold up and easily remove from the main rack bar, leaving you with just a 30" long bar and a folded 36" bike rack to store (see image). Extremely happy with this purchase.
