This is the time of year to stock up on summer play clothes, especially when school ends so abruptly and early. I bid on them for verification purposes as I had no idea what size I would be getting or what the price would be. I chose 3T which is quite small. Luckily my 7 year old son is a complete green bean. He can actually wear them comfortably as long as he doesn't tie his shoelaces at all. He usually wears 6 or 6 tight shorts. On one hand these are very durable shorts with good heavy duty stitching. They have 2 side pockets - no back. As mentioned, there is a working drawstring at the belt that allows you to adjust the size based on your height. My problem? While I appreciate it being a heavier nylon rather than a flimsy material, it's almost too heavy. They almost feel like plastic. I'm concerned that it may be too hot for full summer conditions here in Louisiana.
