Review on Alessi LC07 Julieta Jar Silver by Jermaine Shuster

I like the way they look. Simple and modern. The glass base is very solid and shows very well what is inside. The upper is thinner but more attractive and is easy to take on and off. My concern is that the plastic ring in the top will fit and be airtight. It's flimsy and brittle, and I often throw it across the room when I open the can because it's not bound in any way. It's not rubber or anything textured to prevent slipping. This will be the part that fails and renders the jar unusable. Without the ring, the top will be too big for the bottom. It hasn't happened in two months but I just know it will happen and I will be very upset if there is no way to replace the ring.
