We moved into a new house for me that had a Friedrich window unit. The air conditioner only worked when plugging and unplugging the power cord. I found this remote control based on the model number of the window unit. The remote came pretty quickly via USPS. Two AAA batteries inserted. Voila! All window unit controls are controlled via the remote control.
