I ordered 2 sets of these LED lights to light up the basement under our house. Luckily there was an outlet in the basement to power the HVAC system that used to be in the basement. The first cord was attached to the floor joists using a Cable Boss stapler and insulated staples. The 45 foot cord covered half of the walking area. Later I will install a second garland or lamps to illuminate the other half of the underground. The Lutron Caseta Wireless Lamp Module is used to turn the lamp chain on and off using Siri voice commands or the Lutron or Home app on my iPhone. The Caseta module is also said to work with Alexa. The bulbs that came with the wiring didn't provide enough total load for Caseta to shut down the bulb string completely. I replaced one of the included light bulbs with a Philips LED, which allowed the Caseta lamp module to dim and turn off the string of lights. If I later connect a second string to light up the rest of the garage, there might be enough power to get the Caseta module up and running with the included LED bulbs. I'm very happy to have these bulbs scattered around half of the garage and look forward to lighting the other half later. The 3 foot lamp spacing and luminous intensity works very well in this dark room. Before underground installation, it is recommended to test the string lights and any home automation devices from the comfort of your garage or home.
