The product is applied in a thick layer and is difficult to apply in a thin layer. (Applied at room temperature) This will probably protect the tape well from water saturation and greatly extend the life of the tape if you don't reapply the tape often. The downside to this is that it can be too thick and sticky for quick stick handling. I didn't notice a huge impact on my own game being a hack, but a very talented buddy of mine who loaned it out to try it out definitely said it made his normally very fast racquet handling slower. Another downside is that it doesn't come in a jar like some other well-known brands to keep it clean and safe (in case it melts when your bag is in a hot car). I'm going back to another brand.
