I used this polish to restore the finish of dressing tables and kitchen cabinets. They were all over 10 years old and looked fairly dull with uneven gloss spots where the finish was still good. If you follow the instructions below you will get a nice smooth finish with an even shine. Step 1: Purchase the following items: Bona Cabinet Cleaner, Guardsman Wood Polish (this product), #000 or #0000 steel wool, microfiber cloth or t-shirt. Step 2: Follow the instructions on the Bona cleaner to clean the case surfaces. Before starting work, it is better to remove the doors, hinges and fittings. Step 3: Apply polish to the surface of the case with steel wool. Be sure to only wipe in the direction of the grain of the wood. Step 4: Let the polish dry and wipe off with a microfiber cloth or t-shirt. Continue to rub only in the direction of the wood grain. Step 5: Open a cold beer and enjoy how perfectly shiny and smooth your cabinet surfaces have become.
