I must say that I have tried many car phone mounts and I am still waiting for the one that I can be satisfied with. I really wanted him to be. It was already assembled out of the box and came with the tool, but honestly I don't think you can even try to tighten it. It's still a little loose. I have a Chevy Colorado and trying to mount it on the dash seems to be a problem. It works, but it interferes with my vision when driving. I would say the mount is not ideal for phones with fairly thick cases. In general, the attachment is normal. It wasn't what I expected.
