Not bright enough

They are advertised as "replacing a 75w halogen bulb with a 100w bulb" so I was expecting at least a 75w halogen bulb and hopefully more. I was disappointed to find that the light output appears to be low. So I ordered a pair of 75W halogen bulbs for comparison. We had a light meter handy and I measured the performance of each of them with the same difference. The light output of these LEDs is almost half that of 75W halogen lamps. They are also advertised as "dimmable". They make them dimmable, but how good it is depends on the dimmer (as with all LEDs). There was a certain "pulsing" to my light as I started to dim. It's not that I want to darken them because they're too boring to begin with. And now I'm sending them back...
