Xlink BT is a good product but could be better

This is a good product but could be better. This product came out over 10 years ago, but the manufacturer hasn't significantly improved the hardware, especially the Bluetooth range. The Bluetooth range (10-15 feet) is very short compared to other Bluetooth products on the market today. The Panasonic phone with Bluetooth Link2cell has a very good connection within 50 feet. I bought this device for the same reason as everyone else; I canceled the landline connection and am using my cell phone as a landline phone. Most people fix that there is a delay of a few seconds when making a call and when answering the call. As for caller ID, my cordless phone shows the caller's number and defaults to "Xlink BT" for the caller's name if the incoming number isn't in your phonebook. But you can disable this feature like I did in the program. After you turn this off, the display will show "Out of Range" instead. The software can be updated very easily, but you need to provide your own USB cable and download the software to your computer. I used my printer cable. There are features that you can enable/disable in the software. The product does not support text notifications. Sometimes when making a call you have to call twice because the connection between Xlink and Cell was not good on the first try. Again, this has to do with Bluetooth. After speaking to the support service a couple of times, I got the impression that the company hasn't made any hardware changes to this product for a long time. When the Panasonic Bluetooth cordless phone outputs an analog landline dial tone. This product will become obsolete immediately.
