Review on ๐Ÿšฒ ERGO The Seat Lycra Gel Saddle: Enhanced Comfort and Support for Optimal Cycling Experience by Nick Beck

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good grip, no crushed nuts

I have had three of these seats in the last 20 years and will never go back to a traditional bike seat. This seat allows plenty of room for your jewelry to swing freely, yet provides consistent support on long rides and rough terrain. It feels more like leaning your buttocks against a barstool or a wall that you're not *sitting* on, just using it as leverage against pedal travel. I've ridden one of these 65 miles without undue fatigue or discomfort and have also used it on my daily commute for years. The padding is firm and supportive and will stand up to years of use. Unlike other hornless seats, it doesn't have any odd dimples or contours - it's mostly flat with a large front center bumper to cushion the lumbar region. Others I've tried tend to dig into the backs of my legs or feel uncomfortable moving over time. This one is durable and comfortable. Lycra leather can thin over time, but this is more of a cosmetic issue than a functional one. You may be able to make a new skin on it with your own hands or replace it (like I did after about 5 years).

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
