The default screen setting is too bright. I need to find a way to adjust it so my eyes don't hurt. I followed the instructions to install the software used to configure the settings. It worked; However, this messed up my laptop screen setup and disabled my laptop screen setup software. And the software I installed for it doesn't adjust my laptop's screen. So I got a nice extra screen and a very bright original laptop screen (now I can hardly use my original monitor because it stings my eyes). I couldn't figure out how to get it right so I sent it back. Fortunately, if you can get all the settings right, it works well as a secondary portable monitor.
