I have "Springer" cats who like to jump out of the litter box and leave a trail of trash behind. As you can imagine, this meant sweeping and vacuuming twice a day to avoid walking on crusty used garbage. I was hesitant with these rugs as I figured my cats wouldn't walk on them but they seem to step on them just fine. I also put a kennel pan under this particular box to catch overspray, but so far no one has misbehaved on the mat or the kennel pan. It's easy to shake the litter back into the box or just vacuum it out, it works just as well. There is also no obtrusive smell. The best part? I can sweep twice a week instead of twice a day again!
