Haven't installed it yet but know it works because it was in my shop and I reused it in the rebuild after getting it in the car. Changed because I had to take it off to check the balls and I thought having all the new parts in a drive train with a junkyard pan gasket was silly. Guess what leaked like a pig after I put the oil pan on with the new aftermarket gasket?! Yes. Eliminated the leak by tightening the bolts very, very firmly. Next time I'll put a new gasket in when I change the pan to replace the filter. This gasket came from a transmission junkyard and didn't drop a drop on a remanufactured transmission, so that's probably true as many on the forums have said. This is probably the last pan gasket you will ever need. If you're not changing the fluid/filter yourself, don't let the grease monkeys at the replacement site swap out that gasket for a non-genuine one! You will regret it!
