I bought quilling tools and got a few in a row and this time I decided to try one of the sets. I was disappointed to see that I had been given a different curling trainer, but upon closer inspection I found that it had a different size free curling hole than my other one - hooray! The little scissors that come with it are really good scissors; They have good tips, the tips close tightly for a good cut and they are comfortable to the touch. Paper samples have excellent colors. Quilling boards come in many shapes and a large work area in the middle. The small glue bottle has a needle tip, which is great for applying a small amount of glue exactly where you want. The awl is like any other; The split tip tool for curling paper is great and has a small embossing ball tip on the other end; and the pens are good. I already had the angled tweezers so haven't used these yet; I prefer one that cuts in half and stays closed until you squeeze the center of the tweezers, so I probably won't use the one that comes with this kit very often. It was fun opening the box and playing with all my new "toys". I'm not sure if buying individually or as a set saved me the most money, but I'm very happy with this set.
