Good design. They are easily removed and easily inserted both onto the knitting needles and into the knitted fabric itself. The point is sharp enough to easily go through the knitting material, but not so sharp that the thread snaps. (I bought a design that looked like miniature plastic safety pins that I threw away!) My only suggestion would be to make them out of metal for extra durability. The first ones I saw were in a bag of discarded knitting supplies, and they were so old they were brittle. I don't know how long they will last before the plastic goes brittle, but they are cheap enough that I am willing to replace them.
