I got a headset for work because this headset was one of two approved headsets. I used the headset for the second day and every time I pressed the mute button it just said to mute, although I pressed it multiple times and it never said to mute. On the first day I had no problems with the mute button or the volume button. The volume button occasionally got stuck and the displayed volume was at maximum, although I may have only pressed the volume button twice. Maybe I just caught a defective headset. The ear pads are very comfortable on the ears and the microphone is very clear.
