So let's start with 2x2; This is good for learning, but not for the best corner cutting. The problem with 2x2 is that there is a part in the corners that connects the corner to the rod that goes into the cube. This connector has fallen off a corner within a corner a few times and is a little difficult to put back on and then reattach the corner bar. That being said, it didn't really start until I started playing with the tension. Now 3x3; In fact, I still really like this cube! (I got these cubes a year and a half ago) The only downside is that they are obviously not magnetic, but that doesn't make the cube bad. In general I can't say anything bad about it. 4x4 blocks quite a bit and sometimes pops. Not great, but if you turn a little more carefully, you can definitely learn to tackle 4x4s with this. And finally 5x5; It's not great but it's not bad, it locks up from time to time but doesn't pop, there's a spring noise but it turns well. Overall 8/10. Bottom line: if you're a beginner, this is a great place to start!
