I've had this collar on my little demon for about two months and it's still intact and holding up well. It will likely need a wash, but that's to be expected. Our cats are only indoors, but this cat is introverted and outgoing, always gets into trouble about something, and is pretty good at collars. I was actually surprised that it's as strong as it is and doesn't fray or unravel. So far I've only found it once on the floor. The closed ears don't seem to bother him but I have their collars fairly loose for comfort because luckily they don't try to run away from them.
