Review on Sunco Lighting Downlight Selectable Installation Electrical and Recessed Lighting by Robert Howell

We installed a total of ten 4" bulbs on a renovation a few years ago and made the mistake of using 60 watt eye or gimbal bulbs - I believe they were halogen bulbs. Fairly bright but very hot and tended to burn our post. I decided to give these a try, they were inexpensive - about the price of a halogen bulb, which we kept replacing! When they arrived I grabbed my tools and tried to figure out how I would have to rewire or modify the glass to accept the new LEDs - only to find there was NOTHING TO MODIFY! I lowered the lid and unscrewed the bulb - just like I had replaced it - and screwed the wire harness to the bulb socket. I put a new LED bulb and lid in the jar, and,,,,, and nothing, I was done! All 10 replacements (over two stories) were done in minutes - again NO TOOLS for my application. Brighter light, better color, no heat, much lower power consumption. I highly recommend these replacement LEDs if you are using 4" recessed lights.
