Corroded and turned green on my neck.
I have a gold necklace that I have worn for almost 50 years. The clasp broke in 2018 and I bought this 14k gold clasp to replace it. Within 18 months the clasp corroded and broke causing my throat to turn green. I don't believe this clasp is 14k gold. The globs of green goo are corrosion I scraped off the clasp. The last clasp has lasted 45 years without corroding or turning green on my neck. I will not be reordering this clasp or any other clasp online to save money. I will be taking it to a jeweler to have this necklace repaired with a real gold clasp.
