Proven oils, sprays, shaving soaps and brushes, gels. Nothing, absolutely nothing compares to this product. I don't have a particularly coarse beard, but I've always had trouble getting a shave that keeps my skin smooth when I stroke my whiskers. This product leaves my skin almost perfectly smooth from the first shave. I use it in the shower or in the sink. Because it's a thin layer of product, I can see through it, so I only shave what I want and leave my well-groomed beard intact (impossible with foam). 99% of the time, one run of my cheap, dual-blade disposable BIC razor is enough for a close shave. I highly recommend this product.
