I shoot with a Canon EOS 6D and 60D and for the latter I have a Canon brand grip. I bought a Neewer Vertical Grip for my 6D a few weeks ago and I'm generally very happy with it. The grip is ergonomic and comfortable, the buttons are almost the same as the Canon version, installation is easy and the battery indicator in the camera menu allows you to access both batteries and accurately measure performance and efficiency. Pretty much every reason I would buy a grip goes well with this version. At this price point ($38 compared to the $200 Canon) it's great value for money. My complaints about this product are small and trivial. First, the battery grip didn't feel like a "perfect" fit like my 60D's signature Canon grip. Therefore, when screwing the lock together, it took a little more effort to put it together. Fully connected, there is a small gap (less than 1mm) between the camera and the grip. This does not apply to the Canon brand grip. Second, feel and construction are a bit cheap. The plate below where the model number is printed has come off the handle. Upon inspection, I discovered that one of the four screws holding the platter had the threads stripped and loosened. I fixed the issue with glue as it doesn't seem to affect integrity. The overall feel of the device feels too light, to the point of fragility. That's just my perception as nothing really broke. I just prefer the heavier weight and more solid feel. Finally, and this is probably my biggest complaint. When the grip is set to the "On" position, the dial on the camera is often disabled, allowing you to change shutter speed (in Tv or M) or aperture (in Av) using only the dial on the grip. I noticed the same thing with the grip I had on my old XSi (which I now suspect was made by the same company). For those who frequently switch layouts (portrait to landscape) and adjust settings at the same time, this will be a big challenge. However, we are talking about a grip for less than $40, which is 1/5 the price of a Canon branded grip. For a savings of $160, I'll address a few annoyances. I assume that there will be no more problems, I am very happy with my decision and still give it 4 out of 5 stars.
