This CB is for AM only. It has many features like NOAA weather channels (you can listen to them), a weather alert that bypasses any CB channel you're listening to, and switches to NOAA weather broadcasts in your area. It also has scanning so you can have it scan all CB channels and stop when it detects Rx and when the transmission ends it will start scanning again. It has the ability to set the emergency channel at will. So you can set it to channel 19, and if you're driving and just want to switch back to channel 19, just press the EMG button. It features TalkBack, a Roger horn, squelch, a public address system, and an automatic squelch that the President says he has a third-generation patent on. This radio is state of the art which means all components are surface mounted. This means that there is very little frequency drift due to temperature. This radio has really good reception and transmission. The case is the same size as the Uniden PC505XL, including the heatsink on the back. Uniden owns the President, so it's essentially a Uniden product. If you're the kind of person who doesn't like the many digital options on the radio I would advise getting the Uniden PC505XL, I have this radio too and it's reliable. and a perfectly working radio at a very reasonable price. However, if you like a radio with lots of features and don't mind learning the key combination to use them, then I think this radio is one of the best value AM CB radios in modern times.
